Universal Admedia Bangkok Office
Pichaporn Aroonrut Spearheaded the Launch of Universal Admedia in Thailand, Emphasizing the Country’s Multidimensional Potential and Urging the Government to Build a Stronger Thailand Brand. Highlights Lesser-Known Communities and Secondary Cities as Key Attractions for Foreign Tourists, Confident This Will Boost Local Economies During the High Season and Position Thailand on the Global Stage.
Ms. Pichaporn Aroonrut, Creative Strategy Director, explained that Universal Admedia, as an agency specializing in branding, design, and activation across various industries — including real estate, hospitality, food and beverage, corporate, health and wellness, and executive personal branding — has played a significant role in building brands for numerous communities across the United States. These include Clinton Hill BKLYN, FiDiWest, South Cove NYC, El Poblado MDE in Medellin, Cannes Connect in France, and most recently, Sathorn BKK in Thailand. Following the establishment of offices in New York, Paris, and Medellin, Universal Admedia held an official grand opening for its Bangkok office at One City Center on October 9, marking another important step in its expansion across Asia.
Pichaporn sees Thailand as a country with substantial opportunities for development across multiple dimensions. She emphasizes the importance of fostering growth not only in popular districts of Bangkok but also in communities, neighborhoods, and regions across other provinces. According to Pichaporn, it is crucial to build a cohesive Thailand brand that extends beyond well-known tourist areas like Siam, Yaowarat, and Thonglor. She highlights the potential in lesser-known communities — referred to as "unseen communities" — which hold unique value and deserve more attention. By enhancing the economy in these areas, Thailand could showcase the distinct identities of each neighborhood and its people to the world.
This approach would also increase visibility for these communities while addressing local challenges, such as improving infrastructure in areas facing issues with safety or flooding. Furthermore, it could help generate income for residents and foster local business development through tourism. By attracting both Thai and foreign visitors, these communities could become key travel destinations, especially during peak tourist seasons, but also year-round.
"As a global agency, we see an opportunity for Thailand to connect with people worldwide by showcasing its unique identity," Pichaporn said. "We believe that good stories come from good purposes. That’s why we’re committed to creating meaningful content that will have a sustainable, positive impact on Thai society. Universal Admedia is ready to support Thailand in building a brand with substance, through community development and purposeful storytelling that can strengthen the economy and foster collaboration in the future. We hope that opening our new office in Thailand will serve as a catalyst for positive change," she added.
